The Young Leadership Committee (YLC) is a group of young professionals dedicated to raising funds and awareness for JDRF and the need to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. The committee hosts various networking, social and fundraising events that attract young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40. Poised to become one of Houston’s premiere young professional groups, JDRF’s YLC connects energetic, passionate young professionals and leaders who are committed to helping increase JDRF’s footprint within the community.
We are always looking to expand and grow our network. Members of the YLC have the opportunity to take part in the inception, planning and ultimately the success of several social functions throughout the year aimed at raising both funds and awareness for JDRF. Additionally, the committee hosts networking and social gatherings at area restaurants or bars to foster an environment of year-round volunteerism and involvement.
